AT&T's $1000 Bonuses Aren't Actually Impressive

AT&T is giving their employees $1000 dollar bonuses thanks to the GOP tax cut. They have 200,000 employees, so that's $200 million dollars that are trickling down to all those workers.

AT&T will make about $13 billion in net profit this year, and I'm not a tax expert, but the new tax rate should save them $2 billion dollars.

$200 million to the workers divided by $2 billion to the corporation = .1. 10% of the $2 billion dollars being given to this successful and non-struggling company is trickling back to their workers in a one-time payment. Not an increase in wages. Not $1000 per year. It's a one-time payoff. 90% of these formerly public funds will be used make the wealthy wealthier.
